This is totally server dependant, but you will need to check which ones are worth where you play.
If you queue as a healer - take care to always have a stack of water of appropriate level. You can buy it at an innkeeper for next to nothing, but remember that it will become too low-lvl for you very fast, so you need to buy new water every 10-20 levels. Alternatively, you can buy a stack of every tier of water in Stormwind, and just always carry it with you. Another alternative, if you see a mage - always ask him (politely) to create a table for you. Grab 2-3 stacks so you have extra for the next runs.

Legion made you feel powerful and unique. Battle for Azeroth grinds at you by taking away as much as it gives. Sure, you can have a shiny toy. Sometimes. If you don’t get too carried away.

Be cold-blooded about admitting that you've taken a bath on an item. If you bought that sword for 5g, listed it for 10g, and the listing cost is 2g50s each time, after two times it had better sell just to break even. Once you hit that point, don't keep listing it over and over in desperation trying to make something off the AH. D/E it, or vendor it, and move on. Lesson learned. Don't get trapped in the fallacy of sunk costs.
Each battle that you win will yield experience for each pet that participated. However, deceased companions will not receive any experience (so make an effort to keep them alive by swaping in a different pet). Experience gains are based on your pet's level compared to the wild pet. Defeating a higher level opponent will grant more experience than a much lower level one, but be ready for a tough fight!
Assuming, worst case, procs of 30 monelite ore, in my server they sell for 20g each, so 600g per proc. 5325 divided by 600 is 8.875 missions, rounded up, 9 procced missions in order to make even with pick costs. EVERYTHING after that is pure profit. Its important to remark that the chance is far from 100%, some people say as low as 10% to proc but I didnt find any hard data on this.
Okay, speaking of pet farms this one is a really unique farm. What we're looking for is the carrier cage : black tabby. This is a very sought after pet for both horde and alliance – which is why its price competitively at 55,000g. The farm takes place in Hillsbrad Foothills on a peninsula like piece of land just northwest of the yeti caves. There will be dozens of stormpike engineers surrounding ballistas that only horde characters can kill. However, that doesn't mean alliance polayers can't do this farm (im alliance myself). All you need to do is to create a class trial (monk is the best) and send him over to the grinding spot. Use the black ox statue to attract the mobs, and easily maul them down group by group. If luck is on your side, you can make out with an awesome black tabby carrier.
Disable alpha versions in your Curse client if you do not want multiple updates per day. Make sure you check main download preference as well as DBM's individual download preference. You could have primary method set to release and dbm still set to alpha. Right click on DBM itself in curse client addon list and set it to release/beta to avoid the daily updates.
Get your item level as high as possible. Having the best gear is always going to help you when clearing content, so upgrading your individual pieces of armor will be important in the first few days after the expansion’s release. If you’re looking to get ready for Uldir, then you’ll want to be around item level 350 by the time that raid is released on Sept. 4.
Once you get to about 200g, the theoretical limit of your profit virtually disappears. You now have enough money to start mass buying and reselling those players' goods who undercut everything by an extreme amount. Enchant mats are still a very good focus during this period, especially essences and crystals. You can now afford to buy several maelstrom and abyss crystals and wait until prices fluctuate to resell for a profit. A major strategy you can begin to employ is the multi-character trading and auctioning. If you come across 5 abyss crystals, get onto one character during peak hours and advertise a price 25-50% higher than average. When no one responds to this, quickly switch to another toon and offer the same 5 crystals for 10% lower than before. This will help to raise the median price because other sellers see what they may be able to get for their good. While they are cancelling and reposting, take this time to undercut their new prices, which is now more than you ever could have gotten before when prices were low. If you master this with BoE epics or more rare items, then you can make differences of thousands of gold.
Perhaps the most exciting addition this expansion brings to the table is the inclusion of a new islands system that adds an almost rogue-like element to the game. Basically, players will be able to build parties of three and explore these island areas. The catch here is that these areas change slightly every time that you visit them. You'll also be able to access new areas called Waterfronts that support 20 player fights over locations that are reportedly of strategic importance to both the Horde and the Alliance.
Its hardly a killing when compared to other gold making methods, but from a side-hustle that you're investing little time into (ignoring the initial upfront time investment), the amount of gold you'll make will be well worth it, especially if you keep at it. On my main server, which I've been operating in the manner above for around 5 months, I have around 1100 items, and bring in approximately 50k per day from transmogs alone. If you're willing to pump extra hours into consistently farming for transmog, this figure could be bumped up significantly.
Came back to this game a few days ago after quitting during 7.0. Decided to go do some transmog farming as I have no gold, only to find that trash mob loot has been severely reduced. Im talking a full uldaman run with literally only 2 greens from the end chest (which is guaranteed to have greens.) What the fuck is going on here? Also why are bosses dropping the same item so often? Also tried RFK and DM to find the same low drop rates. Any insight is appreciated.
The best way to collect AP is through world quests, a system that allows players to complete menial tasks to earn moderate rewards. A finite amount of AP spawns on the map through these quests — generally at least 2,000 a day. I’ve likely done most of these quests close to 20 times in the course of preparing my various characters in the 45 days since the expansion launched. In some cases, I’ve replayed them as many as 50 times.
When an allied race has been unlocked for a player, new characters from that race will start at level 20. If a player levels an Allied race from 20 to level 110 without using character boosts, they will be rewarded with a unique "Heritage Armor" for transmogrification that reflects the unique lore behind the race but is limited for use to that race. Doing the quests to unlock the allied races will also unlock the races' unique mounts for use by the characters of their faction. The void elves, Lightforged draenei, Highmountain tauren, and Nightborne, as races tied to the storyline for Legion, were made available with the preorder on January 30, 2018. The Dark Iron dwarves and the Mag'har orcs are made available upon completing the "War Campaign" in Kul Tiras and Zandalar and reaching Exalted with one faction's War Campaign reputation; the Kul Tiran humans and Zandalari will be made available later in the expansion. Game director Ion Hazzikostas also indicated that additional Allied Races may be available in the future.
Special mention is the Darkmoon Faire Top Hat and WHEE! buff. While not always available due to the DMF being inaccessible most of the month, if you happen to be leveling when the DMF is running, it might be worth your time to go and get these. AFAIK they do stack with heirlooms, although I have not personally tested it. Fair warning: These buffs do NOT stack with each other, and the hats disappear after the DMF goes away later in the month(unless you only log in when the faire is running).
Guilds are perhaps one the most effective ways of progressing your character, and in turn, making money. Most 'high-end' guilds have a guild bank where members donate items for other members. This may range from potions, reagents, and craftable plans. Usually you will have to donate to a guild bank in order to receive items as well as stay active in your guild, but receiving potions that will aid your progression and craftable plans allowing you to profit off selling the products will benefit you in the long run. Also, donating to your guild bank may mean donating something you cannot use in turn receiving something you can use. Sometimes, additional services such as VoIP servers are provided and play a key role especially in end-game content; communication is paramount to a the success of an efficient group. Efficiency results in receiving gear faster, running more frequently in a shorter amount of time, and in turn making more money from runs. In a well put together guild, members become a close knit community including financial and questing support, which are among the most profitable benefits. If you have not considered joining a guild as part of your strategy moving through the game, you may wish to strongly reconsider.
It surprises me how this farm was not made public until Legion. It literally slipped through our sights all throughout WOD, where admittedly it would of been a GREAT replacement for the infinite embersilk spot that was quickly nerfed. Anyway, this volatile fire spot takes place in twilight highlands in the humboldt conflagration area – which is a small fire bed with about 20-30 elementals roaming around. Each time you kill you have a chance to recieve volatile fire which is worth 50 – 100g per drop. However, according to my test, the volatile fire has a higher drop chance than the volatile water. I believe this has to do with the popularity of the volatile water farm in WOD, it's popularity may have of gotten it stealth nerfed. Sad to say, but this spot is slightly better in my opinion. REMEMBER to use a potion of treasure finding.
A successful transmog goldmaker like Studen farms for three hours a day on most days. They're on a near perfect server for their market, with a large number of active players with a decent amount of interest in transmog. They have thousands of unique, high value items on the auction house at any given time. To top it off, they find great enjoyment in the grind. If you can find the time, and enjoyment in farming hundreds of items from low-level dungeons each and every day, you might just be the next Studen.
