Patch 8.1 Hotfixes: January 7th Here we go with the first hotfixes of 2019! We have a lot of tweaks today, from a G'huun 5% Hp nerf on all difficulties, to Hunter and Shaman Hear of Azeroth trait fixes, dungeon changes, Druid, Priest and Shaman PvP tweaks,  Rhan'ka's Escape Plan  no longer being usable in M+, raids and rated PvP (which was announced a while ago) and more!
The Auction House is always the best option for getting good equipment at a good price. The only items you should be buying from Vendors are basic consumables: food, drinks, arrows, bullets, vials, dyes, etc. Most other things should come from the Auction House, as they are generally cheaper. Keep these tips in mind when buying items off the Auction House:

Weak Auras is the most important AddOn for players seeking to master their class and take their gameplay to new heights. If you aspire to do any Mythic raiding, this is the most powerful tool in your kit. Weak Auras allows you to display helpful visuals cues anywhere on your screen, which enable you to play better. Most players use it to track their trinket procs, highlight on screen displays of their most important cooldowns, or track the timers of boss mechanics. It is highly customisable and makes keeping track of your procs and cooldowns effortless. The drawback of Weak Auras is that is has a bit of a learning curve and is not the most user friendly. Weak Auras allows you to import other players data directly into their UI, however, and most players choose to simply import other people's Weak Auras rather than make their own. Weak Auras can be used to create just about anything you can imagine, as it is a LUA scripting tool (essentially an AddOn that creates other AddOns, in-game). This is by far the most essential AddOn for players looking to step into Mythic raiding.

An alt (low level or no) in a capital city is an effective way to not only cheaply increase your available bank space, but to be a simple savings and auctioneer account. This character can serve as your bank, an auctioneer, bag-space creator and a time saver. Get one. (There may or may not be Item Recovery issues with characters below level 10, in cases where one's account is hacked.)


Now that you have these addons, it is time to set them up properly to be used as effectively as possible. With the first addon listed, Auctionator, you will get three additional tabs when you open up the auction house: buy, sell, and more. Buy and sell are easy to follow and read, the primary reason why this addon is the top choice and listed as number 1. You can easily set how much to buy or sell, ranging from 1 individual object to stacks of the same good. The most important way to search is by price per individual item. This will avoid both overpaying and underselling, since you can see what one item in a stack is worth compared to what it is worth when being sold on its own. The "more" feature provides an easy-to-follow window of all your auctions up and the details associated with your auction, such as price and time left, in a nice color coded fashion. Without this addon, you will be severely crippled compared to anyone using this efficiently. If you are afraid of addons for security reasons, the rest can be ignored as long as you have Auctionator!
On my server there's a big shortage of Primal Air. I've tried farming it in the past using supposedly the best spot(s), but it was honestly horrible. After looking at the Wowhead for Primal Air I noticed there's actually a transmute recipe for Primal Water to Air. I will say as a warning that it apparently does have a 1 day CD like a lot of transmutes, so for some people it might not be worth the time. But at least on my server, there's not 1 Primal Air on the AH and I know that it's a constant shortage, so at the moment I could make a lot of profit just doing my daily CD for this after getting the recipe. To get the recipe you do have to be revered with the Cenarion Expedition from TBC, and there's guides on Wowhead for grinding out that rep as well. I'd recommend checking the stock of Primal Air on The Undermine Journal for your server, and if it's relatively low and you have at least 1 alchemist, go for it. It could be a decent way of making a little more passive gold, just transmuting one Primal to another. I'm probably actually gonna start rolling another alchemist at some point, and this discovery has definitely prodded me in that direction as doing this transmute won't interfere with other TBC transmutes, because there aren't default TBC transmutes as far as I'm aware.
Island Expeditions:[5] 3-Player co-op with optional 3v3 gameplay. Players will explore uncharted isles across the Great Sea. There is azerite and other unclaimed resources bubbling to the surface that is highly sought by both factions. Complete varied and dynamic objectives with a large variety of challenges to overcome. Race against advanced AI opponents designed to thwart players using tactical and strategic moves that consistently change. Optionally, players can choose to race against other players, creating a 3v3 PvP environment. 
For this achievement, you’ll have to earn Revered standing with all factions available to your side. While Champions of Azeroth and Tortollan Seekers reputation is required for both factions, Horde and Alliance players will have different requirements based on their storylines. You’ll earn reputation with these factions by completing story quests in their respective zones, as well as by doing World Quests. We recommend using an addon such as World Quest List to easily see which World Quests award reputation with which faction.
FYI: If you’re returning to WoW after an extended absence prior to patch 5.0.1, it’s possible that you’ll have more than the maximum pet limit and/or more than 3 of a kind. However, this will be the only time that you’re allowed to surpass these limits. You will have to pare down your collection, eliminating your duplicates, in order to add new pets.
A farm that I myself made drastically popular about 2 years ago.  This farm is a simple pet and transmog spot that requires you to pull the entire wailing carverns instance.  Besides how it sounds, this farm is VERY easy going and can literally be done while you watch something else entirely.  (netflix maybe?)  While it's not as potent as it used to be, it still has some merit in it, especially if your server is low on the deviate hatchling pet.  While it does take some time to drop, I can usually average  a deviate hatchling every 30 minutes or so.  However, since I released the video on it, the price of the pet has dropped wildly.
Unless Blizzard has some real story shake-ups and a phenomenally tuned raid on the horizon, I’m honestly expecting the sharpest player decrease to set in within the next few months. The expansion itself has some interesting ideas, but sticking to a World Quest grindfest is quickly becoming the norm, and the Island Expeditions aren’t exactly exciting.
 Kul Tiran human (8.1.5) - "Kul Tiras was founded by fearless explorers who sailed uncharted waters in search of adventure. 1. Begin by providing a sell message that is clear and concise. This includes the grammar and punctuation just as much as it does the word choice. Try changing that "Some noob buy my sh!t" into "Looking to sell a ____. Please message me if interested. Thanks!". People would rather see a message that is obviously not from a foreign gold farmer or a younger kid. These sellers are hard to deal with and have the stereotype of scamming the honest player.
2. Once you have an interested buyer, stay firm in your price. This does not mean to never make them feel like they are getting a bargain. You can subtract 5% off the price and not be hurt as long as you still make a profit! Remember this, as that 5% may not be a big deal to you, but the buyer will feel special and might buy the item for the slightly reduced price. I can not emphasize enough that this is not the same as undercutting! Do not drop every good every time or you develop a reputation as a soft seller and people take more liberties in their dealings with you. If you give someone a constant 5% discount, then they begin to want 10% and then 15% until you no longer make a profit. Discounts are used when you feel that the seller may be pulling away and you really want to just profit and move on!

Okay, this farm is by far my favorite old world farm.  Generally because discovering this spot is like finding a hidden gem that the developers do not want you knowing about.  The thing is, everyone talks about farming zul farrack by pulling the entire instance... Nope, the real gold is made by flying over zul farrack...  If you fly over zul farrack until you reach the large steps that begins the usual third boss scenario, you will find that there are literally 50 trolls just hanging on the steps and another 25 just sitting at the foot of the steps.  It's an amazing scene, as all these trolls have ACTIVE level 40-45 loot tables.  Each and every one of them can drop cloth and mogs from the mid level era of items.  Whats more is they don't take too long to respawn.  ALSO they are not affected by the 7.3 transmog nerf because they ARE NOT in an instanced zone.  Making this spot the BEST transmog spot in the game IMO.  Check it out in the video, it's really awesome.


-New dungeons- About 3/4 are fairly decent, not too long not too short, but none of them are compelling, none make me say to my friends and guildies, "Hey, let's do this instance, I love the theme and encounters." They're dull but tolerable. The other 1/4 of the dungeons just aren't fun and you will groan when you get a mythic Keystone for the Underrot, the snake temple, or Waycrest Manor. Waycrest Manor is actually one of the better dungeons, however, with the new Infested affix, Waycrest Manor suffers from many game-breaking bugs that end in the entire instance being pulled due to doors not properly working as intended.

Meanwhile, Tyrande Whisperwind and Malfurion Stormrage grow impatient regarding liberating Darkshore from the Horde's control, ultimately choosing to begin the offensive on their own, against Anduin's advice. In order to maximize their chances, Tyrande undergoes a ritual to turn herself into the Night Warrior, the avatar of Elune's most wrathful and warlike aspects. To counter this, Sylvanas orders several Night Elven heroes who fell in the Burning of Teldrassil to be raised as Dark Rangers to bolster her forces.

Heirlooms can certainly be used with our guides! You may find yourself getting ahead of the guide. If you start doing gray quests, just skip ahead to a later zone. The guide is just that - a *GUIDE* not a rule, as many people seem to think. Feel free to skip parts! Watch out for quest chains, though, especially in the last part of the 50-60 section. Hopefully we'll have some awesome features in our new addon that will make it easier to skip around!
Flying in World of Warcraft was introduced over ten years ago, in The Burning Crusade expansion. It gave players the opportunity to explore Draenor on their brand new shiny flying mount. You can now fly in nearly every zone in World of Warcraft, traveling the game’s expansive continents and complete content quickly and efficiently. Perhaps too quickly and efficiently for the some developers, who hoped players to experience the rich world they’ve designed as intended.
As an example, I will take my server values to calculate how many procs you need to make up the price of one Magnetic Mining Pick (40 SS ore, 10 Platinum ore, 15 Expulsoms). Assuming 25g per SS ore, 20g Platinum Ore, and 55x the price of Tidespray linen to craft 1 expulsom in average (got the value from a previous post in this subreddit); 1 Pick is worth 5325g (not counting the elemental flux).
At 98 you have the option to drop what you're doing and return to your capitol city to start the quest for your Legion Artifact weapon. However, I do not believe this is necessary to do right away unless you're struggling with kill speed in your current gear. I would recommend waiting for a natural pause, such as hearthing to repair and clear your bags. From 100 to 107 you won't even really fight mobs that often; only just enough to clear the way to any treasure you need to pick up.

World PvP is probably my favorite aspect of this expansion so far, love the bounty system.

If you are just coming out of Level 110, you will probably have a number of different Legendary items to choose from. Your Legendaries' special effects will stop working at Level 116, but until then they can be a very powerful addition to help you level up quickly. These are our Legendary recommendations for leveling as an Restoration Shaman in Battle for Azeroth:
-Global Cooldown- Almost all spells are now on the global cooldown. This has slowed gameplay down quite a bit and you won't get to use the full potential of your spells cooldowns. For example, you cast a spell that increases your damage for 15 seconds, after the global cooldown and you're able to cast again, you now only have 13.5 seconds to make use of the remaining time. There are far too many spells on the global cooldown that shouldn't be.

Good news if you are leveling an alt and you have Draenor Pathfinder so that you can fly in WoD, the next 10 levels will only take a few hours. Personally, I didn’t have this until recently and I went back and got the achievement and I’m glad I did. Now I can level all my future alts fast by just flying and picking up treasures for a couple of hours.
This is a risky way to make money, and not recommended. Tell a player that if he beats you in a duel you will give him 10 gold, but if you beat him he has to give you 5 gold. This can be very effective if you are skilled in PvP and make the bet with a trustworthy person, or friends. It is a very risky strategy, as you may lose gold, or the other player won't cough up the money anyway. You will also get a bad reputation if you don't cough up the money in the case of defeat.
Bags: This SHOULD be a no-brainer. The cheap-o version are Netherweave bags, but if you have the gold I recommend you get the largest bags you can afford, since it means you won't have to stop to clean them out as often. In fact, if you have an excess of gold, it's probably not even worth your time to stop and loot mobs that aren't quest objectives. This seems like a small thing, but over the course of 100+ levels, all those clicks to loot add up.
Repetitive daily quests are a legitimate method of generating significant cashflow. Players who spend several hours a day doing daily quests can often generate 100 per hour. Many players have funded the purchase of their elite flying mounts solely through doing daily quests. Another trick for higher level players is to do level 70 dailies as a level 75-77. If you have a hankering to get a Netherdrake, for instance, and you already have a fast flying mount (which is a pre-requisite for the drake), you will find your mid-70s an ideal time to go get that drake. Not only will the quests be a lot easier to do at level 75+, but the dailies will pay about 1200 as you level rep, and you'll get XP along the way to boot (albeit not as much as quests in Northrend.) So if you're looking for a break from the grind of leveling to 80, and want to kick back, spank some level 69s and make some decent money along the way, doing lower level dailies can be a fun way to make some extra cash.

If you queue as a healer - take care to always have a stack of water of appropriate level. You can buy it at an innkeeper for next to nothing, but remember that it will become too low-lvl for you very fast, so you need to buy new water every 10-20 levels. Alternatively, you can buy a stack of every tier of water in Stormwind, and just always carry it with you. Another alternative, if you see a mage - always ask him (politely) to create a table for you. Grab 2-3 stacks so you have extra for the next runs.  
I like to spend as little time as possible on transmog. 1-3 hours of farming a week is about all I can stomach, and I can stomach even less of it on the auction house. When you've got a thousand items listed, cancel scans get ridiculous. As transmog is best taken as a method of making passive gold over time, with little pockets of effort thrown in, do not waste your time undercutting constantly. Instead, adopt an approach that allows you to just post once or twice a day.
