Considering that flying in Legion hasn’t been implemented yet, Mining or Herb Gathering is rather difficult. Pretty much wherever you go, you will have to battle at least 1-2 mobs in order to get a mineral or herb. Dec 28, 2016 Better Living through Technology!(new2macros) *note: this guide is for people who haven't used macros or advanced keybinds and want to try. Macros are basically 'super buttons' that you can create in order to use multiple abilities and spells from the same button. This means even if you have 15 different abilities, you can key them all to 3-5 buttons. With macros you can do things like: 1) have all your buff spells on one button 2) 'hide' abilities that you don't use very often so they only show when you need them 3) 'group' similar abilities so that, for example, all your commonly used melee skills are on one button 4) maximize your rotation so that you're always one step ahead of the GCD Macros are great, but there are a few limitations: 1) complicated! -learning macros takes a good chunk of time. It's only something I've been able to do since my work gives me some 'free time' to cruise the UI/macro forum. 2) software limited -While very powerful, there is potential to abuse macros so that, for example, you could hit one button and your character would kill every mob in range (eventually). This potential for abuse has cause blizzard to put some powerful limitations on macros. More about this later. 3) the One Button rule -each macro button can use only one ability each time you press the button. You can code this so that it will use a different ability each and every time you press it (and on a different target!), but you can't press the button once and, for example, have it cast all 5 self buffs on you. I don't even know where to start?! To get started with macros, it's very simple. Just log on WoW and type /m. This brings up your macro box, where you just have to hit 'new' and the game will prompt for a name and an icon. I recommend that you leave the icon as a question mark. (?) The question mark means the game will automatically pick up the picture of the ability that the macro will use. My First Macro For your first macro lets just replace a normal ability you use on your bar in combat. I'm going to use paladin abilities here, but you can replace them with whatever ability you like. So to make my first macro, I went to the /m menu in game, picked a new macro, and gave it the question mark icon. Then I click on the icon, click on the empty box, and type: /cast This is the basic core of every macro. It's basically like the verb in a sentence. You can use different 'verbs' (called slash commands) but this is probably the most popular. Since I want this macro to cast Hammer of the Righteous, I simple type that in after the /cast. /cast Hammer of the Righteous And pow! I'm done! If you drag this onto your bar and hit it a million times, you basically have the paladin protection spec in a nutshell (lol). However this doesn't really give you any extra functionality over a normal keybind. The next thing I'm going to do is make the macro heal a friendly if I have a friendly targeted, or if it's an enemy it will use SotR (shield of the righteous). To do this you add a conditional. This says 'only cast this spell if 'X' is true.' It looks like this (with a breakdown of the macro underneath): /cast [help] Word of Glory; [harm] Shield of the Righteous \__/ \____/\__________/\/ \____/\__________________/ verb-conditional---|---separator|----------------| -------------------ability---------conditional----Ability What this macro will do is check the status of your current target. A 'friendly'(help) value will cause my paladin to heal the target. An 'enemy'(harm) value will trigger the attack ability. If you can grasp macros thus far, you've already learned enough to make macros useful for you. Putting this on your bar will basically cut the number of keybinds you need by 1. Modifier macro commands Another handy feature you can use with macros is called a Modifier. This may sound familiar but it's possible to set a macro so that it will use a different ability or spell if you hold down control, alt, or shift. Here's a basic example: /cast [mod:alt] Seal of Truth;[mod:ctrl] Blessing of Kings;[mod:shift] Righteous Fury; Seal of Insight If you had this macro bound to 1, and you press 1, it would cast Seal of truth (and the seal picture would be on the keybind). Hey guys. So as the title suggests im new to wow. Im currently leveling my first character, a fury warrior, and was just wondering are there any guides out there for leveling your first character ? Ive seen a bunch of leveling guides but most of them are made for people who already have a max level character and can be confusing. So I was just wondering is there a guide out there that can show me how to level my first character ? Thanks beforehand I appreciate it!
You should equip new quest rewards when their item level starts beating out your previous set of gear. For healing, if you are currently wearing Tier 21 gear, it is best to let the quest rewards significantly beat your existing item level before using them. With that said, you will unlock Azerite pieces early on, which can be worth using over Tier gear.
Elemental items (Primals, Eternals, etc.) can be a good source of money, because they are always in demand on the AH. See which mobs you will most benefit from farming, then set out for a few hours. In the process you will also most likely collect significant vendor trash, and may get other profitable item drops as well. Note, however, that older elemental drops usually lose profitability compared to newer ones, i.e. Primal Water sold well to level 70 players in BC, but sells far less well to level 80 players in WotLK, because level 80 gear requires Eternal this'n'that.
Players’ relationships with the NPCs around them have been hit-and-miss over the years. One of the original issues with Thrall, the Horde’s original Warchief, is that players began to refer to him as “green Jesus,” because of how infinitely powerful and infallible he was. But he’s been gone since the Warlord of Draenor expansion, and with the death of Varian Wrynn and Vol’Jin at the start of Legion, the old guard hasn’t been there to guide players the same way as it used to be.

If you queue as a healer - take care to always have a stack of water of appropriate level. You can buy it at an innkeeper for next to nothing, but remember that it will become too low-lvl for you very fast, so you need to buy new water every 10-20 levels. Alternatively, you can buy a stack of every tier of water in Stormwind, and just always carry it with you. Another alternative, if you see a mage - always ask him (politely) to create a table for you. Grab 2-3 stacks so you have extra for the next runs.  


Using the Looking for Group interface, or joining a good guild, and doing instances that are around your level. You'll learn valuable grouping skills, and the level of loot in an instance is typically much better than what you could find on your own. Mining is one of the three gathering professions in the game. You mine from ore deposits for all the various ores in the game. Your customers will be blacksmiths, engineers and jewelcrafters. Flying in World of Warcraft was introduced over ten years ago, in The Burning Crusade expansion. It gave players the opportunity to explore Draenor on their brand new shiny flying mount. You can now fly in nearly every zone in World of Warcraft, traveling the game’s expansive continents and complete content quickly and efficiently. Perhaps too quickly and efficiently for the some developers, who hoped players to experience the rich world they’ve designed as intended.
Each battle that you win will yield experience for each pet that participated. However, deceased companions will not receive any experience (so make an effort to keep them alive by swaping in a different pet). Experience gains are based on your pet's level compared to the wild pet. Defeating a higher level opponent will grant more experience than a much lower level one, but be ready for a tough fight!
Was doing it at 52 on my lightforged paladin and it was easily the slowest zone out of the ones I'd done. Granted, I didn't have War Mode on so I didn't have any PVP talents, but it felt like about 40% of my time was spent waiting around for respawns or wandering around looking for mobs to kill to get a quest item that had like a 5% drop rate. Maybe I just got unlucky but I definitely won't be going to that zone again for future heritage armor runs.
When an allied race has been unlocked for a player, new characters from that race will start at level 20. If a player levels an Allied race from 20 to level 110 without using character boosts, they will be rewarded with a unique "Heritage Armor" for transmogrification that reflects the unique lore behind the race but is limited for use to that race. Doing the quests to unlock the allied races will also unlock the races' unique mounts for use by the characters of their faction.[5] The void elves, Lightforged draenei, Highmountain tauren, and Nightborne, as races tied to the storyline for Legion, were made available with the preorder on January 30, 2018.[7] The Dark Iron dwarves and the Mag'har orcs are made available upon completing the "War Campaign" in Kul Tiras and Zandalar and reaching Exalted with one faction's War Campaign reputation; the Kul Tiran humans and Zandalari will be made available later in the expansion. Game director Ion Hazzikostas also indicated that additional Allied Races may be available in the future.[8]
If these tips are not up your alley, feel free to play the auction house as early as you have enough to buy one cheap stack of peacebloom. These low level herbs are fantastic sources of early income with little risk since everyone needs to level professions. Alchemists especially are popular every expansion because of the need for those high level trinkets that soar above even heroic drops. As a result, that peacebloom you bought for 10 silver now can easily sell during peak hours for well over a gold! This is a minimum of a 1000% profit! While 1 gold may not seem much, when you are selling 10 stacks at a time, those few hundred gold can go very fast and get you into the greater profit items. However, knowing prices on peacebloom and other lower level mats can prove difficult. This is where Auctionator finally comes in! Run a scan overnight on all your auction characters. You can now see whether or not a posted item is worth buying because of percentages presented next to the list. The major lesson to take out of this is to scan daily and see which items fluctuate greatly, as those are your rewarding items! Items that jump from 10s to 3g depending on time of day or uninformed buyers are a goldmine waiting to be taken advantage of. You can buy low and sell high, succeeding in the World of Warcraft stock market!
Check the Auction House and if 2 [Small Brilliant Shard] is cheaper than 5 [Dream Dust], then go to Winterspring and find Qia, then buy the recipe [Formula: Enchant Chest - Major Health], and make the enchant until you run out of Shards, or until you reach 300. The recipe requires Enchanting skill 275 to learn, so you will need some Dream Dust between 265-275 to make the Shield enchant.
Since you’ll already have to complete quite a few World Quests to reach the required reputation levels for the previous achievement, this one should come naturally. It’s worth noting that this achievement specifically requires 100 different World Quests, so if a World Quest pops up that you don’t recall having done before, it’s best to head out and knock it off. Completing "Beachhead" 100 times just won’t cut it, but Scrollsage Nola certainly appreciates your efforts.
There are a lot of skills and spells you can train as you progress, each of which costs money. When you can afford to, you should train all the abilities that your class trainer offers. If you're completely broke, it's fine to put off upgrading abilities you rarely use for a level or two so that you can upgrade your most-used abilities. If this happens, you should ask yourself whether you are spending too much money on buying unnecessary equipment upgrades or leveling production trade skills. Be sure to save enough for class abilities and riding training before spending money on other things. This assumes you're earning money at a rate where buying skills makes a difference at all. If you have a hundred gold from two gathering professions by level 20, those skill ranks costing a fraction of a gold won't make any difference to your purse.
SSC has been known for it's abundance of pet drops, which is why this farming spot exists.  It can only be done once a week by each of your characters, so make sure to hit it if you can.  Generally you'll want to kill all the bosses for a chance at their rare pets.  Everytime I go, I have the luck of getting one, in the video I actially got the Tideskipper to drop, and a video I done on the spot before that, I got the tainted waveling.  So yeah. It's a pretty awesome spot with high rewards and also some world drops.  I was able to snag a will of edward the odd as well, totalling a nasty 35,000g.  The most important part is that you kill the bosses, the pet drops do sell, and they are very easy to get.  Well worth the time invested.
While enchanting is generally considered expensive to level, you can make a profit with it as soon as you start disenchanting for profit. It is not unlikely that almost any green item in this case will have a buyout price for a lot less than the materials it disenchants into. Likewise, it is lucrative to check the auction house for green items with unpopular suffixes, such as "of the Gorilla," with low starting bids.
If you are just coming out of Level 110, you will probably have a number of different Legendary items to choose from. Your Legendaries' special effects will stop working at Level 116, but until then, they can be a very powerful addition to help you level up quickly. The expansion brings a major change to the PvP ruleset on each realm. Every realm by default only allows players to attack NPCs in the open world; players who wish to engage in world PvP now have a setting called "War Mode" that can only be toggled on or off in their faction's capital city (i.e. Stormwind for the Alliance and Orgrimmar for the Horde). Its hardly a killing when compared to other gold making methods, but from a side-hustle that you're investing little time into (ignoring the initial upfront time investment), the amount of gold you'll make will be well worth it, especially if you keep at it. On my main server, which I've been operating in the manner above for around 5 months, I have around 1100 items, and bring in approximately 50k per day from transmogs alone. If you're willing to pump extra hours into consistently farming for transmog, this figure could be bumped up significantly.
